Kauai, Jan. 20 / News Release - Subband Technologies LLC, a leading developer, licensor and marketer of next generation audio, video, and gaming technologies for the consumer electronics, personal computing and entertainment industries, announced today in partnership with 4Front Technologies, the release of OSS 3D for iTunes!

OSS 3D utilizes state of the art DSP technology allowing for the addition of Bass/ Spatialization, 3D Surround, and various other real-time enhancements of the sound played in iTunes.

OSS 3D comprises a set of proprietary audio quality enhancement algorithms that provide access to Speaker Resonance Correction, Virtual Subwoofer, Brainwave Inductance, High Frequency Restoration, Center Channel Control, and more. Also included is a Studio Quality H-Fi 10-Band Equalizer with Built-in Peak Limiter to replace the one built into iTunes.

Subband is licensing technology that is included in OSS 3D that allows third party developers to create audio plug-ins for iTunes using skeleton plug-in integration directly into the iTunes audio architecture and doesn’t require APE or Audio Hijack installation.

The OSS 3D DSP technology is also available for third party licensing and suitable for applications like video games, music selling kiosks, personal mp3 players, and various other media appliances. The DSP algorithms are fast and designed for integer DSPs.
